He truly needs to get away from Torpedo or his talent will be lost. But haven't heard nothing about his transfer, therefor believe that it's a joke. Altough i'd like that it would be true.

That's a mystery. No one knows exactly. Mick (Mick McCarthy - главный тренер клуба - прим. С.Ф.) has been in talks with Oper earlier years too but then there wasn't enough money for buying him. So there might be some base under the rumour that Mick is again interested in getting an experienced striker in his team as Torpedo have decleared that they already have new striker to replace Oper. But it is still a rumour no hard evidence yet.

Talks about Andres Oper are getting louder (all football magazines and newspapers have announced it) and Torpedo Moscow chairman told that Oper will go for medical examination already this week.

Although it's still not certain looks like that Sunderland might gonna have a new experienced striker on the squad. And one more estonian national team member along Poom.

the Poom connection might explain why we're linked with this guy - maybe Mick has watched Poom in an international and this chap caught his eye.

I don`t know what to think. I would like to see Oper in the Stadium Of Light, but not in the sub bench.

About Oper transfer: Oper himself have said that transfer talks are indeed in **** but he won't give any **** whether or not he will join Sunderland nor say anything before contract details are confirmed. He should be attending on medical control already today or tomorrow.

So rumours seem to become a true. But talk about his joining is still to early and whether or not he will be in starting lineup is far more early to say. But if Mick is looking for experience than it's possibility that he will have a spot in the field.
