Spartak trounce Torpedo to extend league lead

MOSCOW, June 18 (Reuters)(DS) - Russian champions Spartak Moscow hammered
city rivals Torpedo 3-0 on Sunday to build an eight-point lead at the top
of the premier division table. Ukrainian international Dmitry Parfyonov
put Spartak ahead with a 38th minute penalty after a foul on Brazilian
striker Luis Robson.
Robson doubled the score just four minutes later when he went one-on-one
with Torpedo goalkeeper Yevgeny Kornyukhin, while Alexander Shchyogolev
added a third after the interval.
