Torpedo take top spot

FC Torpedo Moskva went top of the Russian Premier League on goal difference on Sunday following a 2-1 victory against FC Spartak Moskva.

Torpedo are on 12 points after six games - the same amount as second-placed FC Zenit St. Peterburg - and had a Sergei Budylin penalty in the sixth minute and an Aleksandr Panov goal at the death to thank for the win as Mihailo Pjanovic's leveller just before half-time proved not quite enough for the visitors.
